Athletic Pre-Participation Requirements

At the May 12, 2011 School Board meeting, the Board of School Directors approved the following fee schedules for the 2011-2012 school year:

Interscholastic athletics and non-academic, competitive activities
Fred S. Engle Middle School                    $125.00 per year/per participant

Student clubs, activities and intramural programs with a district paid advisor
Fred S. Engle Middle School                    $25.00 per year/per participant covers any/all clubs

Starting Fall 2011 all Field Hockey Players will be required to wear eye protection that adheres to ASTM F2713-09 and ASTM F803-03.   FH_GOGGLE_FLYER[1].pdf

Game Start Times and Pick Up Times

The 8th grade game starts at 3:15. The 7th grade game will start about 5 minutes after the 8th grade game ends (approximately 4:15).  Directions to away games can be found on the FSEMS athletics page:  http://www.avongrove.org/fsems/Extra_curr_activities/SPORTS.htm. All practices and home games will be on the middle school hockey field located on the hill between the softball and baseball fields.

**Practice: Please be prompt when picking up players. It is expected that the players will be piked up no later than 10 minutes after the end of practice/games. If a practice needs to be cancelled due to weather, etc. please do not call the school.  Cancellations will be posted on the calendar below by 1:00 pm that day. All practices and home games will be on the middle school hockey field located on the hill between the softball and baseball fields.

Equipment Schedule -  Attached is a copy of the equipment schedule for this season.  Please be sure to make a note of which week is yours, and who you should be getting the equipment with.  There will be a copy hanging in the locker room and each coach has one. Thanks girls!  Schedule
